Talent, Gifted or Hobby? Why Australian Gospel Isn't Reaching Global Heights

πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί Australian gospel music struggles globally despite Hillsong's 20 million album sales.

Why haven't others followed? The industry is flooded with wannabe artists who treat music as a hobby, not a craft.

Many have no formal training or education, yet position themselves as God-sent talents overnight.

Recording on shoestring budgets with zero investment, they expect divine intervention to replace practice and professionalism. Australia's entire Christian market is smaller than America's Christian music industry alone.

Without quality studios, skilled producers, or co-writing sessions, songs rarely reach global standard.

Most artists work day jobs, refusing to invest in proper promotion, distribution, or advertising platforms that build real audiences.

Music isn't magicβ€”it's mastered. Until aspiring artists pursue education, respect the craft, and invest in promotion, Australian gospel will remain local while the world listens elsewhere.
